THERAPY ORIENTATION

I have been trained extensively in several therapy approaches for children, adolescents, and adults. I work with children ages 6 and up using a variety of play therapy techniques and family counseling. Aditionally, I have extensive training in the field of trauma, grief and loss, stepfamilies, adoption, and divorce recovery. In general I am eclectic and use the therapy approach that is most suited for the individual both psychologically and spiritually. This may include family systems, marital therapy, cognitive/behavioral, psychodynamic, spiritual interventions, and other techniques. The goal is to integrate spiritual principles within all therapy approaches. However, I do not use any therapy techniques that are contrary to the Word of God or His leading in any individual's life.
