My Massie Family Memories In
and Around Victoria, Virginia 1958 - 1974 ( as recalled by Gerry Massie,
grandson of Hume.W. and Lola P. Massie ) I was blessed to have spent 6 or 8 weeks
every summer from about 1959 through about 1968 at
my Grandparents on 6th St in Victoria, VA! A 'city' boy from Fairfax, VA but the
country was in my blood from my Father, John Massie, and
his fathers and grandfathers. I am quite proud to be an 11th
generation Virginian. I spent many days and hours in the
orchard and down on the farm with my Grandfather, and up
at Massie Furniture Store on Main Street with my
Grandmother. And of course some Sundays at Victoria
Baptist and some Sundays going to
the races with my Uncle Ed, < click for more on
Edwin Spending time with my first cousins,
Karen, Rene, Monica and Eddie then and now are
absolute treasured memories on a grand
